Victoria Falls is spectacular. What I didn’t know until I got there was that there were several different sections of the falls. On the Zambian side, where I was, it was a bit more difficult to get to a good viewing area of the falls. It was more “rustic” – less touristy, but a lot more fun. Probably the best part of the entire experience was Devil’s Pool – we spent about an hour slowly walking (and slipping and falling) over rocks and streams to make it to a tiny natural pool right next to the top of the falls, where all that was stopping us from tumbling over the edge was a small underwater footwell.

The sheer scale of the falls was absolutely amazing.
