Kruger

While in Africa, I spent a couple of days driving around Kruger National Park – one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Not only is it huge – about the size of Belgium, but it was basically a reverse zoo. Once I drove through one of the gates on the perimeter of the park, I had to be in one of the enclosed campgrounds by 5pm each day, as being anywhere else outside of that would put me right in the middle of the animals’ habitat. It was wonderful and amazing to be so close to the animals and being able to observe them not through bars or clear plastic.
