Right after I left my job as a tech in a hospital ER, I packed my bags and flew up to Maine to visit Acadia National Park, which had been on my bucket list for years. Besides the giant masses of mosquitos that followed me around, it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Rugged coastline, delicious (and cheap) lobster in every conceivable presentation at every bar, restaurant, and roadside shack, beautiful carriage roads and bridges that crisscross the island, and the friendly locals made this an amazing trip.
