After Moscow, I flew to Rostov-on-Don, where my great-uncle and his family reside. While there, we were fortunate to get a chance to dig up and look at some old family photos, letters my great-great-uncle sent back home during WWII, and met their adorable schnauzer.

Shanif - This is great man, I’m glad to see you’re getting back to your roots. The commercialism you saw in Russia is happening all over the developing world too… India, here in China, Brazil, everywhere. It’s the new face of the world. Globalism.

In any case, awesome shots… one day you’ll have to give me a primer on those black-and-white grizzled old person techniques.

We gotta talk about travel this Thanksgiving too.
